Lorena Ionita

Lorena Ionita is Deputy Head of Unit, Unit “Innovation policy and investment for growth”, Directorate General “Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs”, European Commission. Previously, she worked in various departments of the European Commission: Directorate General “Competition”, Directorate-General “Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs” and Directorate General „Economic and Financial Affairs”. Before joining the European Commission, she worked for BUSINESSEUROPE in Brussels, representing employers’ organisations at EU level and in the European social dialogue. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics at College of Europe and a Master in International Business and Economics at the Academy of Economic Sciences in Bucharest (Romania).
