Victor Adrian Vevera represents ICI București as Director General. He brings a practical perspective on research, cybersecurity and national digital infrastructure, connecting professional expertise with the strategic needs of modern industry. He is a distinguished researcher holding a PhD in Military Sciences and Information, and brings extensive experience from advisory roles in national security—having led the National Cyber Incident Response Centre (CERT-RO), provided counsel to both the Presidential Administration and the Prime Minister on security matters, and held key positions in state-owned companies. He teaches “Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity” at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
Vevera is a recognized authority in fields such as cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, high-performance computing, and technological innovation. He chairs the International Conference on Critical Infrastructure Protection, leads the think tank IF Idea Factory, and holds leadership roles in international organizations including as Vice President of ICA. His strategic vision and active role in initiatives like Open Science and digital asset platforms underline ICI Bucharest’s mission to drive Romania’s digital transformation and foster collaboration across national and European research ecosystems.
