Mihaela Rodica Suciu

Mihaela Rodica Suciu has built her career in the energy sector since 1998, with experience spanning engineering, electricity infrastructure, operational management and network development. A graduate of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, she began her career in design before moving into the energy sector, where she held increasingly complex technical and management responsibilities.

As Director General of Distribuție Energie Electrică România, she leads an organization serving more than 4 million users across 18 counties, through an electricity distribution network of more than 200,000 km. DEER is part of the Electrica Group and plays a central role in the modernization, digitalization and resilience of Romania’s electricity distribution infrastructure.

At FACTORY 4.0, Mihaela Rodica Suciu will join Panel 2, “Energy Systems & Industrial Resilience: Powering the Factory of the Future.” She will contribute the perspective of a major electricity distribution operator on grid modernization, energy resilience, digital infrastructure and the evolving requirements of an increasingly decentralized and electrified energy system.
