Mircea Constantin Scheau

Mircea Constantin Șcheau, PhD in Public Order and National Security, is a researcher, author and international speaker specializing in cybersecurity, critical infrastructures, law enforcement, artificial intelligence and defense. His academic and professional work explores the evolving challenges at the intersection of technology, security and society.

Mircea Constantin Șcheau holds a PhD in Public Order and National Security, with a focus on economics and security, particularly cybercrime and financial transactions. He is the author or co-author of several volumes, including Cybercrime Regarding Financial Transfers, which received the “Victor Slăvescu” Prize awarded by the Romanian Academy. He has also published more than fifty articles covering cybersecurity, critical infrastructures, information technology, artificial intelligence, management, law enforcement and defense.

 

Throughout his academic and professional activity, Mircea Șcheau has contributed to numerous international conferences as a lecturer and speaker. He is an Honorary Associate Researcher at the University of Craiova, Constanța Maritime University and Danubius University of Galați, and is affiliated with the European Research Institute at Babeș-Bolyai University. He also serves as President of Cloud Security Alliance Romania, contributing to initiatives focused on cybersecurity awareness, resilience and security best practices.

 

At FACTORY 4.0, Mircea Constantin Șcheau will join Panel 4, “IoT & Cybersecurity for Smart Industry: Securing the Nervous System of Modern Manufacturing.” He will contribute his expertise in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection and cyber resilience, bringing a broader security perspective to the challenges created by increasingly connected industrial environments and the need to protect the digital systems at the core of modern manufacturing.
