Maria Smarandache

Maria Smarandache is a Romanian journalist and television presenter with more than two decades of experience in broadcast media. She began her career at Radio România Actualități before joining Romanian Television in 2004, where she developed extensive experience as a news presenter, political correspondent and moderator.

Throughout her career, Maria has covered major political, economic and social developments, building a professional profile defined by accuracy, balance and well-documented journalism. Her work has included interviews and discussions with leading representatives from politics, diplomacy, business and culture, as well as coverage of important national and international events.

At TVR INFO, she is involved in news and debate programmes that bring complex issues closer to a broad audience. She is one of the presenters of “Banii, azi”, a programme focused on economic and financial topics, and has also contributed to current affairs formats such as “Pulsul Zilei”. Her experience in moderating live discussions and translating complex subjects into clear, accessible conversations makes her a natural fit for high-level public events.
