Mihai Mladin<\/b><\/span><\/h1><\/div>
Mihai Mladin is Head of R&D&I (Research, Development & Innovation) at the Romanian Energy Center, a non-profit professional association actively engaged in energy policy, European research projects, and the development of sustainable technologies and strategies in the energy sector. With more than 17 years of experience in management consulting, European funding, and technical projects, he has held senior management and consultancy roles in international initiatives, including H2020, Erasmus, and other transnational programs.<\/div><\/header>
<\/div>

This background enables him to coordinate complex work packages on topics such as business modeling, economic impact assessment, and energy policy and regulation.<\/p>\n

A central focus of Mihai Mladin\u2019s work is the digitalization of the energy sector and the adaptation to new challenges arising from the increasing share of renewable energy sources and distributed generation. He emphasizes that the classical mode of operating the energy system is no longer valid, advocating instead for real-time monitoring, rapid response, and digital integration to address the variability of renewables. He is also actively involved in projects with cybersecurity components, such as CyberSEAS, which aim to safeguard energy infrastructures and manage risks related to cyberattacks.<\/p>\n

The Romanian Energy Center (CRE) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and apolitical professional organization established in 2011, bringing together and representing the interests of both state-owned and private companies from the Romanian energy sector at the national level as well as in relation to European institutions. Its mission is to promote the participation of member institutions in European decision-making processes, facilitate access to funding, foster cooperation in research and innovation projects, and provide analysis and dissemination of strategic information on energy policies and development opportunities.<\/p>\n

Within CRE, Mihai Mladin plays a key role in shaping and implementing projects focused on energy sector digitalization, cybersecurity, system integration, and innovation. He also contributes to the development of official positions adopted by the organization in relation to energy transition strategies and European policies, supporting CRE members in aligning with the trends and regulatory requirements set by the European Union.<\/p>\n<\/div>
