Sorin Mierlea<\/b><\/span><\/h1><\/div>
Sorin Mierlea has been the President of InfoCons\u2014the National Consumer Protection Association in Romania\u2014since 2003. As founder of the Federation of Consumer Associations and initiator of Romania\u2019s first national intellectual property campaign from a consumer protection perspective, he has become one of the most visible advocates for consumer rights both nationally and internationally.<\/div><\/header>
<\/div>

Throughout his career, Sorin Mierlea has represented consumers in numerous advisory and decision-making bodies at the national and European level. He has been actively involved in the Consumers\u2019 Committee of ASRO, the National Federation of Parents\u2019 Associations, the EUIPO Observatory, the permanent advisory group of the Financial Supervisory Authority, and ANEC, the European consumer voice in standardization. His broad engagement reflects a strong commitment to ensuring transparency, fairness, and respect for consumer rights in all sectors.<\/p>\n

InfoCons, under his leadership, has grown into one of Romania\u2019s most respected NGOs dedicated to consumer education and protection. It is a full member of Consumers International, a founding member of the Federation of Consumer Associations, and an active contributor to European and international consumer protection initiatives. Through awareness campaigns, educational programs, and strategic partnerships, InfoCons empowers citizens to become informed, responsible, and active participants in society and the marketplace.<\/p>\n<\/div>
