He pursued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the guidance of renowned professors Martin Hughes and Stefan Arnold. As both a soloist and chamber musician, he has received top prizes in prestigious international contests such as the Pietro Argento International Piano Competition and the Cameristi dell’Alpe Adria Competition. His artistry has taken him to major concert halls across Europe, where he is praised for his expressive power and refined technique.
Beyond his career as a performer, Ioan-Dragoș has established himself as an organizer and cultural entrepreneur. He founded Aegeria Artists Management in Vienna, launched the Transylvanian International Piano Competition in Brașov, and created the Ton der Jugend Symphony Orchestra, which offers young musicians the opportunity to perform in some of Vienna’s most celebrated venues, including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus.
In recent years, he has expanded his impact in Romania’s cultural life. Since 2020, he has served as Manager of the Brașov Philharmonic Orchestra, where he has overseen innovative projects and expanded its artistic reach. In 2022, he initiated the “Culture Bank Apollonia” project, which developed into the Apollonia Cultural Centre, and he now contributes as Development and Innovation Director for the SoNoRo Festival.
