Diana Nitescu


Diana is a visionary leader and entrepreneur at the forefront of the tech and innovation landscape. As the Founder & CEO of OctogonHUB since 2021, Diana has steered the company through a myriad of cutting-edge projects and events such as bioG.ro, Start-up Visa, R&D.company, durabilityHUB, and several hackathons focused on 5G, RPA, and the future of work, not to mention the pioneering Sincrotron Accelerator. Her work primarily orbits around youth communities, deep technology, science, research, and fostering new start-ups and spin-offs.

Simultaneously, Diana holds the position of Founder & CEO at TOP Minds since June 2019, an initiative rooted in Bucharest, Romania, that is dedicated to transforming potential into tangible outcomes. Through TOP Minds, Diana has orchestrated projects and events with global giants such as CERN, NASA, Silicon Valley entities, and institutions in major cities around the world, emphasizing top career skills, future work trends, and job experiences.

Beyond her roles in technological and educational innovation, Diana has been the driving force behind High Performance HR since July 2008. This initiative provides comprehensive services to companies and high-performance employees, including training, mentoring, career design, corporate relaxation, HR assessment, and board advice, underlining her commitment to enhancing workplace efficiency and employee well-being.

Earlier in her career, Diana showcased her exceptional project management and business development skills at OMV Petrom from March 1998 to 2020. Here, she managed significant programs like the Petrom Olympics and the Cisco Academy, contributing extensively to contests, prizes, camps, training sessions, mentoring opportunities, scholarships, and sponsorships.

Diana’s executive leadership was further exemplified during her tenure as the Executive Director of the European Solidarity Foundation from June 2007 to September 2011. In this role, she served as the Regional Coordinator for EMCEF Bruxelles, driving solidarity and development within the European Mine, Chemical, and Energy Workers Federation across Southeast Europe.

Her entrepreneurial spirit was ignited early on as she founded and led the Cisco Networking Academy Center in Bucharest from October 2002 to July 2008, pioneering e-learning programs in network security, wireless technology, and IT essentials, and establishing a national footprint with centers across Romania.

Diana’s early endeavors also include founding and leading Acadpet Soft SRL from June 2004 to January 2008 in Ploiesti, Prahova. Here, she established a training center focused on management, change management, computer operations, network training, and English language courses, catering to corporate employees and conducting significant studies on the impact of restructuring on employees, their needs, and values, management styles, and board psychological assessments.

Diana’s multifaceted career is a testament to her unwavering commitment to innovation, education, and high-performance workplace culture, making her a distinguished figure in the global tech and HR landscapes.
